The Lahore High Court has expressed its disappointment over the performance of banking courts in Punjab and directed the officials to decide all the cases initiated in or before 2010, within next three months.
These orders were issued by Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik in a meeting to review disposal of pending cases of banking courts in the province. The Member Inspection team Habib-ullah Amir, Additional MITs Bushra Zaman, Muhammad Yousaf Aujla and Joint Secretary Ministry of Law Mr. Sohail Qadeer were also present at the meeting.
The justice also directed joint secretary to have close liaison with Federal government and courts. He also advised him to resolve problems faced by judges of banking courts. The judge also expressed his satisfaction over the performance of Anti-terrorism courts. Lahore High Court registrar, honorable judges of Anti-terrorism courts, additional secretary and other high police officials were also present at the meeting.
